We do more than feed hungry students at Chartwells. We improve the well-being of our students by preparing fresh, delicious and nutritious meals they love. We engage students and all of their senses through the creation of new and fresh dining experiences that improve their school day. Our wide variety of menu items, programs and initiatives nourish students' bodies, minds and spirits.

OUR PROMISE:

To extend our passion, dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm into serving each student delicious and nutritious meals. To nourish the bodies, minds and spirits of our students and pave the way for a lifetime of success and well-being.

Our Brand Vision

Food is a big part of everyone's well-being, and students need a place to eat where they can connect with others, recharge, and enjoy a sense of happiness in their school. That's why we serve food kids love to eat and create programs that encourage fun and discovery.

Most importantly, we believe that happy cafeterias start with our people. So we empower them to go above and beyond to bring their personal “extra" for even more creativity and joy at meal-time.

Our goal every day is to make sure that students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier than they came in.

The school cafeteria is often one of the first places children experience foods beyond their family recipes or cultural traditions. Through Global Eats at the secondaries, we transform mealtime into a journey of discovery, introducing students to the authentic flavors, ingredients, and stories of cuisines from around the world. Each month, Global Eats spotlights a different region, inviting students to explore and celebrate global cultures through food. From the bold spices of India and the comforting classics of Italy to the vibrant flavors of Mexico, Korea, the Caribbean, and China, this program turns the cafeteria into a gateway for cultural appreciation. More than just a meal, Global Eats encourages curiosity, builds connections, and helps students develop a deeper understanding of the world.

Our Discovery Kitchen program brings hands-on food education directly to our elementary schools. Turning learning into a fun and flavorful experience. Each month features a new theme designed to spark curiosity and teach students about food, nutrition, or where ingredients come from. During each visit, students participate in an interactive lesson led by our team, where they get to ask questions and learn something new. After the lesson, the best part begins, students get to sample a yummy, snack that connects to the month’s theme. Discovery Kitchen helps students build confidence around trying new foods, encourages healthy habits, and makes learning delicious!
