ISTEP+ is the standardized test given to all students in grades 3 and up in the state of Indiana.
ISTEP+ determines how well each student has mastered the Indiana Academic Standards in both English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
Miller students in grades 3-5
A written response E/LA and Math test is given in March, and the multiple choice test is given in late April.
Acuity
Acuity is a test with questions similar to ISTEP+. It is given on the computer, and questions are aligned with the Miller Curriculum Calendar.
Acuity helps determine how well each student has mastered the Indiana Academic Standards in English/Language Arts and Mathematics each quarter. The results are used to identify students who will benefit from additional reteaching and review of the standards before ISTEP is given.

These assessments are created by teachers to assess what was taught during each 3 weeks in the Curriculum Calendar
Teachers review Math results every 3 weeks and use them to group students for a timely review of Academic Standards. Students who have mastered the standards are placed in an enrichment group.
Language Arts results are used for review or enrichment in small group reading instruction.

DIBELS
DIBELS is a standardized individual reading assessment made up of 6 subtests. Each test takes one minute.
DIBELS is an indicator of reading progress. Analyzing the results helps teachers know how to group students for effective instruction.

Benchmark testing is given 3 times a year: Beginning of Year (BOY), Middle of Year (MOY), and End of Year (EOY)
Progress monitoring is done throughout the year.
mClass TRC
TRC
(Text Reading and Comprehension ) assesses a student’s ability to read leveled text.
TRC gives teachers another indicator of how each student processes and comprehends text.

mClass Early Numeracy Assessment
Early Numeracy Assessment is a curriculum based measurement (CBM) of fluency and accuracy with number sense and computation skills at grade level.
This assessment is an indicator of how well each student understands numbers and how they work. It assesses skills that are an important foundation of doing well in mathematics.
