Welcome to Amelia Earhart Elementary School! When we opened our doors in the fall of 1995, we became the eleventh elementary school in the Lafayette School Corporation.

Our goal at Earhart is to actively involve every member of our community in learning. Our teachers are caring, dedicated professionals who nurture students and help them develop to their fullest potential as lifelong learners. Our students are striving to become responsible members of our school community, and to understand they have ownership of their actions and progress. Our parents are committed to the school / home partnership that is so necessary in the learning success of our children. We believe that everyone is a learner and a worker. Our staff promotes scholastic excellence. We focus on developing a solid foundation in the basics of reading, writing, and mathematics in a trusting welcoming environment.

At Earhart School, partnership is encouraged and celebrated. We welcome the involvement of parents and community members. The Earhart School Association is a group of parent volunteers who help meet various needs in our school, from working in the media center to assisting teachers with clerical work. Our School Council works under the leadership of the school board to guide Earhart School.
