It is the goal to teach biology and provide life long learning skills by encouraging students to be active participants in the learning process. We believe students will learn if we:

• provide activities that acknowledge different learning styles.
• allow students to set their own time frame for mastery.
• encourage goal setting and goal adjustment.
• provide and encourage assistance beyond the school day.
• provide student centered learning activities.
• encourage students to understand that all information is not equal.
• acknowledge that there are different ways of knowing.
